Travel Photo Guidelines

What types of photos should be submitted?

We are looking for creative and professional looking photographs that tell an interesting story about countries in East Asia. Photos that reflect something genuinely unique about a country and its culture will have a better chance of being published. Only submitted photographs that were taken in "The Orient" will be accepted.

What sort of photography experience is required?

If you are a seasoned professional travel photographer or simply an avid traveler with a passion for taking pictures then we would like to see your photos. You don't have to be a published photographer, but we do ask that you take your photography seriously and follow our submission guidelines. As long as your photos match the style that we're looking for and your picture is from the designated geographical area, then we will accept any of your work that you wish to submit.

What geographical regions can be included?

As long as your travel photo was taken anywhere in "The Orient" then we will accept it. Here is a brief list of the countries that are currently defined as being a part of the region:

What file sizes are preferred for submitted photos?

If possible, we ask that you please try to keep your file sizes under 500 MB per submitted photograph.

What additional information should be provided?

In an email, with your photo attached, please provide us with the following information:

1. Your Name
2. Photo Title
3. Photo Location (Country & City/Town/Village etc.)
4. Your Contact Information

Is there any compensation for submitted photos?

At the moment, we do not compensate writers for the pictures that they submit, as the Ezine is just launching. However, all contributors will be able to showcase their work and gain online exposure.

OrientalTales.com will provide each photographer with a section of web space which will highlight their contributions in any issue which their photos are displayed. The photographer's contact information, along with any additional links that they wish to include, will also be provided to promote their work.

Terms & Conditions

The photographer maintains copyright of every photo that they wish to submit to OrientalTales.com.

OrientalTales.com will not re-market any photographs elsewhere without permission of the photographer.
