Writer's Biography

Danielle, 23, graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism in April from British Columbia, Canada. She is nearly six months into a one-year budget backpacking trip that has already seen her go through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore. She is currently working her way around New Zealand.

She craves the chaotic intensity of travelling, but is looking forward to persuing news reporting when she returns back home. For now, she's revelling in her experiences, which have included a nine-hour trek through the northern jungles of Thailand, a weekend stay in a primitive tribal village, getting stuck with unreliable electricity for days while caught in a typhoon that flooded Hue, Vietnam, and worrying about land mines while on a rickety bus that creaked along a single, red, dirt road for six hours through Cambodia.

Danielle currently calls Vancouver Island home.
