Writer's Biography

For 20+ years Sharon has been fortunate to explore Planet Earth as a travel journalist. She has written 7 travel guidebooks on Florida, New Mexico, Chicago, and published 500+ stories about her intense encounters with inspiring people and astonishing places around the world.

Many memorable experiences have transformed her life from being a fearful Couch potato to a Feral adventurer with insatiable Wanderlust.  Her husband, travel and architectural photographer Warren Lieb, has joined her on many adventures. Together they have created travel/photo features for magazines, newspapers, webzines, and anthologies worldwide. Their GLOBETROTTERS travel feature, published monthly in Charleston South Carolina by The Moultrie News, has taken their readers from Antarctica to Australia, Canada to the Caribbean, Sicily to St. Louis.  They are celebrating publication of the 50th GLOBETROTTERS story so far... with more to write. Their paper circulates to 100,000 residents on the islands and suburbs of Charleston, and people look to them for help in planning their family vacations.

In 07, Sharon and her husband contributed photo/travel features to: Key Biscayne Magazine Florida, Coral Gables Living Magazine Florida, Southern Hospitality Magazine, Home and Away, and Mexico Travel & Life Magazine. They love writing about adventure, eco-tourism, wildlife/nature, global cultures, cuisine, hotels/resorts, and spas.

In my fantasy, I am Keeper of the Royal Elephants for his Majesty, The King of Thailand.

"Bring me a female White Elephant," my King commands. "Sacred and rare, they're not easily found. I hear they are charmed by purple orchids."

"Your Majesty," I stammer, "In all my years as your Royal Elephant Keeper, I have never captured a White Elephant. Wherever shall I look?"

"The Mae Sa Valley," he smiles. "She will be bathing in a shady river. Delight her with purple orchids, then deliver her to me in secret. A most special surprise for the Queen's birthday!
