Writer's Biography

Tom Thumb got his pen name after hitchhiking from England to India at the age of 20 and then writing about the trip in "Hand to Mouth to India" (www.tomthumb.org/travelbooks.shtml) was published in the UK in 2000.

He's been traveling the world without a pause for the last 12 years and now isn't sure how to stop. HIs adventures have included helping foreign prisoners out of jail in India, working as a street merchant in Japan and as a tour guide in Brazil.

He set up www.roadjunky.com in 2004 and now uses that as an excuse when people ask him what he does for a living.
